Viking: Battle for Asgard-How to Play

In Viking: Battle for Asgard you play as Skarin, a silent Viking warrior who seeks to defeat the forces of Hel in the fictional world of Midgard. In the game, the objectives that must be completed include the following: freeing captured Viking warriors, recruiting Vikings to your cause, raiding enemy patrols and fortifications, upgrading Skarin’s weapons, and ultimately defeating the occupying enemy force. To free captured allies, the player must attack the enemy held territory, where you can free the Vikings to fight with Skarin to clear out the enemy, or take them all out alone and free the Vikings after. The player’s attack options are: a head on assault, or sneaking in and taking out the enemies’ one at a time.
Later in the game, the player is able to enchant the sword and axe with elemental attacks that can also power up any Viking allies present. The power ups can be bought from merchants with gold the player finds throughout the world. No matter how the player does it, in the end you free the Vikings and they join, possibly after you do something for them. Some Vikings refuse to join despite the crisis, and must be won over by getting something for them such as a key or the shield of a traitor. In the end, they join the player as well. Eventually, after taking control of enemy occupied areas, the player is able to launch a surprise attack on a large enemy force. The attack results in the complete destruction of the enemy force. You must also learn new attacks at the Arena, which requires gold.
Also, on each island Skarin must find a stone that lets him recruit a dragon that helps you in the final battle of each island. Once all allies are recruited on an island, the player can activate one of the three inevitable thousand man battles in which the player’s army attacks the strongest enemy position on that island. In these battles the player can use the dragons to destroy archers, defenses, and shamans, who summon enemies into battle. The player also fights enemy champions and giants, who drop dragon runes when defeated, which can be used to summon your dragons in combat. Both have large amounts of health but can be defeated quickly using elemental powers mentioned earlier. The battles must be ended by taking the structure that looks similar to Stonehenge. Once that is done, the player has a final boss battle for control of that island. Once the player has won the battle, Skarin is moved to the next island. This is how the game is played. If you want to see the epic battles for yourself, you will have to get the game.
